About Us
Barney Bears Nursery was established in April 2004. It is owned, managed and run by Sarah Hawkins and Leah Clarke.
Sarah Hawkins and Leah Clarke began their studies at Barking college, in 1996. They both went on to gain experience in different child care sectors.
Barney Bears Aim
We are committed to provide a happy secure environment in which each child can develop at his or her own pace. Guiding them towards the Early Learning Goals as defined in the Early Years Foundation Stage, learning through play and planned topic themes. Within a homely, atmosphere each child has the freedom to choose a wide range of activities.
Barney Bears Nursery prides ourselves on word of mouth and our reputation. Therefore we always have an overwhelming demand and a healthy waiting list and have nurseries across the boroughs of Newham, Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham.
We both sit as board members at the Barking & Dagenham Technical Skills Academy which is based in Barking Town Centre. We work in close partnership with Barking & Dagenham college and the surrounding colleges where we carryout presentations sharing our journey to the students.
