Barney Bear's Nursery

Kelly’s 10-Year Barney Bears Journey:

I first started my journey with Barney Bears as a student, based in Baby Room at the Barking Nursery. Once I completed my Level 3 Childcare I was offered to work as agency for Barney Bears. Whilst working at both the Barking site and the Dagenham site, where I was mainly based in Main Room. 

My passion for childcare continued to grow and that is when I realised how much I loved working with children between the ages of 2years-4years. In 2012, the West Ham nursery opened and I officially became a full time Nursery Officer working within the Main Room at West Ham. My experience at West Ham allowed me to constantly grow and develop within my role as a practitioner. I adore supporting, caring and watching all the children grow, and after 4 years working at the West Ham nursery I received a promotion to become a Room Leader for our Ilford Nursery in 2016. I have and continue to work alongside such an amazing team throughout the years, and I would not be where I am today without them. I am so proud of all my achievements, and I cannot thank Barney Bears enough for all their continuous support.”
